So as a mission in 2017 we baptized 996 people with the goal to baptize 1000. Four who were not prepared. But we have a goal set to baptize 2018 in 2018. That is the mission motto now it's sick!! Christmas and New Year's were sick!! On Christmas we bought a bunch of panettone as a zone and walked around the street knocking doors and singing and giving away panettone. It was sick!! New years we rode bikes as a zone in Miraflores. It was also sick but Christmas was better.
In the month of December we baptized 122 people. In the last week 42. Miracles are possible and we have all been hit in the face with a where is your faith punch. The work is increasing and we need to increase also!! So this year is gonna be sick!!
Edgard did not get baptized. We have still been unable to find him. He feels embarrassed bc he has a problem with gambling but we have faith that he will get baptized in January. This Saturday Jose Abram will get baptized. He has been waiting for permission for two months so he is very excited!!!! Also we are visiting the dad of a member Avino. He is from Cerro de Pasco and is super cool. He will get baptized the 13th. And we are working on our goal for the 20th.
My comp is the best we can read each other's minds it's sick!! And I am super happy to have another hot summer here in Rimac!!
This week I have been meditating a lot about the Book of Mormon and I invite you all to read Moroni 10:3 and count your blessings that you are one of these chosen people. Then share your blessing with others. Even in Utah there are people to baptize. It doesn't matter when we learned about the gospel, or how much we know regarding it. What matters is how we choose to apply it and live it.
