Yes, I don't remember what it's like to not be in Rimac. jaja
What to tell it has been a long week and I'm tired but so many miracles that I cannot count.
Okay, here comes a good story but let me set the stage.
So, the sector where I am now Rimac 1 D is half of what was a big sector where there were two elders. So these elders were told that the sector would get split and they needed to prepare todo bc we were coming. Well they gave us 2 investigators to visit and a folder full of teaching records that had not been touched in more than a year. If you have served a mission you understand, if not... we started proselyting in a new area that we did not know. In a new ward. And with 0 progressing investigators and nothing to work with. Literally nothing. So we contacted like crazy and knocked a bunch of doors and we received on referencia from the Hermanas in Leoncio Prado. We decided to look for it which including climbing the cerro/hill for a good rato bc we did not know where to look for the direction. As we were climbing I felt something tell me to knock on a door. I didn't. We kept climbing. The stairs ended, nothing. So on the way down we knocked. A man named Carlos came out, very friendly, told us where he thought the house was then let us in to visit his mom (her legs are paralyzed) and his son and nephew. Josue and John. It was Saturday. Sunday Josue came to church. And this Sunday too. He is preparing to be baptized the 3rd of February and his grandpa and cousins the 17th. His dad needs to get married but this fam is super prepared to receive the gospel and it was a testimony that God works in small and simple ways asking a direction when you are lost on the top of the cerro. Their neighbors are now our investigators too.
Orto story August and Yesenia. They want to get married and baptized. The elders a year ago got changed and stopped visiting them but they need the gospel and recognize it. They were a referral from a member. This ward is awesome! This sector is awesome! These people are awesome and the gospel is awesome!
Love you all
